Enhancing Skills in Behavioral Modification: Insights from Community Health Nurses

Enhancing Skills in Behavioral Modification: Insights from Community Health Nurses
Mental health in childhood is crucial as it lays the foundation for an individual's personality. Behavioral problems are common in children, often stemming from parental behavior and upbringing. The research article titled The role of community health nurses in behavioral modification of parents of children with behavioral disorders in primary schools in Isfahan offers valuable insights into how community health nurses can play a pivotal role in modifying parental behavior, which in turn helps children with behavioral issues. The study, conducted with parents of 44 first-grade primary school children in Isfahan, utilized a pre- and post-training quasi-experimental design. Parents attended group training sessions aimed at addressing behavioral problems and improving parenting skills. The findings indicated significant improvements in parental behavior scores immediately after the training and sustained improvements one month later.
