Core Requirements
To qualify for the Manitoba Provisional School Clinician Certificate, you must complete 27 credit hours of university coursework in specific areas:
- Therapy Techniques: Design and implement therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of student needs (6 credit hours).
- Psychological Assessment: Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests relevant to school-aged populations (6 credit hours).
- Psychology Practicum: Gain supervised experience in assessment, intervention, and consultation related to school functioning (6 credit hours).
- Abnormal Psychology/Psychopathology: Study child/adolescent psychopathology, including diagnostic criteria for various disorders (3 credit hours).
