New York State’s K–12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency (CS & DF) Learning Standards set a clear expectation: students need more than basic “tech skills” to thrive after graduation. They need the ability to use technology safely, understand how it works, think critically about its impact, and create with it—not just consume it.

- Modeling and simulation: representing systems to understand and predict outcomes
- Data analysis and visualization: collecting, refining, and communicating insights
