Shocking Truths About Online Learning Satisfaction Revealed!

The COVID-19 pandemic forced educational institutions worldwide to shift abruptly to online learning. This transition was particularly challenging for primary school students, who are still developing self-regulation and attention skills. A recent study titled "Primary School Students’ Online Learning During Coronavirus Disease 2019: Factors Associated With Satisfaction, Perceived Effectiveness, and Preference" provides valuable insights into how various factors impact students' satisfaction and effectiveness in online learning.

The study, conducted among 781 primary school students in Hong Kong, revealed that only 57% of students were satisfied with their schools' online learning arrangements, and just 49.6% found it effective. Interestingly, only 12.8% preferred online learning over in-person schooling.
