- License Renewal: $157 (includes a $32 surcharge for the University of Washington HEAL-WA website)
- Limited Permit: $55
- Late Renewal: $65

- Inactive License: $47
- Expired Inactive License Reissuance: $15
- Duplicate License: $30

Licensing Requirements

- Complete a minimum of six months of supervised fieldwork for OTs or two months for OT assistants.

- Pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy's (NBCOT) exam.
- Complete the online jurisprudence examination with a score of 100%.
Renewal and Continuing Education
Licenses expire on the practitioner's birthday and must be renewed every two years. Renewal requires:
- Payment of the renewal fee.
- Completion of 30 hours of continuing education within the preceding two years.
Continuing education must be completed by the practitioner's birth date every two years and cannot be carried over to the next period.
Application Review Process
Applications are reviewed by credentialing specialists who verify completion of all requirements. Background checks are conducted, and required fees must be submitted. Routine applications are approved by credentialing supervisors, but the disciplining authority may review applications that cannot be verified.
