Today I came across a YouTube video where American Telemedicine Association President Jonathan Linkous discusses the state of telemedicine today.

I’m finding more great content and information on telehealth on YouTube. Here is another video regarding the future of telehealth in California.

We just uploaded a radio interview of my brother Greg Sutton, where he talks about TinyEYE and Speech Therapy.

BTPS will trial a jurisdiction-wide online speech-language program for Program Unit Fund (PUF) students who are enrolled in Early Childhood Services (ECS), the first online program of its kind in Alberta.

I found yet another excellent video on telehealth presented by Karen Edison, MD. She points out how 3 factors are affected by telehealth: Costs, Quality, and Access.

I found a video that points out the shortage of speech therapists in the U.S. It’s a little old but as of 2002 there were 94,000 SLPs, but they anticipate a need for 120,000! That could be even greater today!

Today I spent 10 hours of doing speech therapy across 6000 km of distance…. all from home. I have to say I do not mind working from home while helping clients from far away.
