If you're in a hurry to start working, a provisional permit might be your best bet. It’s typically issued within 2–5 business days after submitting all necessary forms, fees, and documents.
However, bear in mind that a provisional permit requires you to have employment, as you must submit a supervisory form signed by your supervisor and indicating your place of employment. If you're already licensed in another state, a provisional permit isn't an option unless you haven't received certification by NBCOT.
